The 4 man must wait for a few seconds while the other players cut to the left and right of the basketball. If a good inbounds pass is made, your team will be able to score. If your team runs through the play and are not able to get a quick pass and score, the 2 man should run towards the half court line to serve as a pressure release. This is a basic baseline out of bounds basketball play used by a number of high school and college basketball teams. Once the play starts, the 1 man and 2 man split to the left and right sides of the court. The 4 and 5 man need to pause for a few seconds to let the other players move into position. Once the middle of the key is clear, the 4 and 5 men can cut to the ball, each in different directions as to create good spacing. With the right timing and a little luck, you can get a basket out of this baseline out of bounds play. If your basketball team is not able to get the ball to the 4 and 5 man, the 2 man needs to break towards the half court line to serve as the pressure release.
